The Flora and Fauna Series is a series of functional objects that Arun Sharma feels encapsulates the object being made of clay, with the human hand. He originally started producing objects in his Flora and Fauna Series while living in Wales in the early 2010’s and continues to revive the series in small batches today.
Each piece in the Flora and Fauna Series is hand thrown and hand carved. This means that the carvings in the clay are considered in relation to the form. The intuitive nature of this process means that each item produced in the series is thoroughly unique, while also cohesive as a matching set.
